Remaking the Rust Belt

Through the summer, we’ve managed to post some new episodes of the History Slam podcast and as we get closer to the start of another academic year, they could serve as some as some entertainment as you put your finishing touches on your preparations. First, back in June, I welcomed Tracy Neumann, with whom I shared an office at Harvard, to the show to talk about her new book Remaking the Rust Belt: The Postindustrial Transformation of North America. We talk about the Canada Program at Harvard, industrial redevelopment in Pittsburgh and Hamilton, and some of the major differences between Canada and the United States. You can find the full post here.
